With SmartTacklebox, users can photograph their tackle boxes after organizing their equipment and subsequently tag individual lures or bait within the images. This visual cataloging approach helps to maintain a clear overview of stored items.

To identify a specific lure or understand its purpose, users can simply tap on the tagged item within the photograph. The app also enables users to compile a custom lure catalog over time, linking each entry to external online information and personal notes for more detailed reference.

Furthermore, SmartTacklebox supports ongoing updates to tackle information, allowing anglers to track what they possess, learn about different items, and refine their understanding of how and when to use various pieces of equipment.

The free version includes advertisements and imposes restrictions such as limiting users to two views per tackle box and a maximum of twenty lures.
